IPL 2018, 28th Match, Rajasthan Royals vs Sunrisers Hyderabad
Sunday, 29th April, Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur
Match Preview :
The Rajasthan Royals host the Sunrisers Hyderabad today in 4pm fixture at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur.
The Royals are coming after almost a week’s break while the Sunrisers Hyderabad are fresh from outstanding victories in two nail biting low scoring encounters. A win here for the hosts would mean they enter top 4 and for the visitors a win here would place them at the top the table.
The Rajasthan Royals look a bit on the weaker side when compared with the Sunrisers Hyderabad. However, a thrilling victory in their last match against the Mumbai Indians added a lot to their confidence. A young Krishnappa Goutham scored a 11 ball 33 and got his team over the line in a match they thought they lost. The batting looks a bit shaky with none of them in any kind of form. Ajinkya Rahane, Ben Stokes, Jos Butler all had starts but failed to convert those into match winning knocks. Sanju Samson looks promising, though. Jofra Archer, their man of the match in the last game, strengthens their bowling. However Jaydev Unadkat needs to get into form for the Rajasthan Royals to give them edge over the weak Sunrisers Hyderabad batting.
The Sunrisers Hyderabad come into this game in high spirits. Their Bowlers are defending whatever score their batsman are giving them. That’s a big positive for them. Rashid Khan, Siddarth Kaul, Basil Thampi, Sandeep Dharma are all bowling exceptionally well and compensating their batsmen’s failures. Shikhar Dhawan looked in patches after coming back from the injury. Their middle order has got the likes of Yusuf Pathan and Shakib Al Hasan, but it is not firing for them. All in all their batting looks brittle but their bowling looks brutal.
Head to Head :
Rajasthan Royals 4 <-> 4 Sunrisers Hyderabad is the score line before this match making it even.
Favourites to Win :
The Rajasthan Royals have an excellent record in their fortress and they would want to keep it that way. The Sunrisers Hyderabad bowlers if they repeat the performance they showed in last two matches, surely they have an advantage.
