IPL 2018, 23rd Match, Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Mumbai Indians,
Tuesday, 24th April, Wankhede Stadium , Mumbai
Match Preview :
The Mumbai Indians host the Sunrisers Hyderabad in a Night fixture here at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Both teams are coming into this game with defeats in their last games, both, last over thrillers.
The Mumbai Indians should consider themselves as the unluckiest team in this season of IPL. All the games they lost were last over upsets. Just when everything seemed to be under control for them in one way or another, they found ways to lose a match. Though individual performances are promising, they are losing as a team, which isn’t helping the defending champions. They may not make changes to the line-up but they need to put everything behind and try to play positive cricket. They are a very better team then what the points table says.
The Sunrisers Hyderabad look equally strong as well. Kane Williamson, Rashid Khan, Siddharth Kaul, Yusuf Pathan all are playing their parts very well. However with Bhuvaneshwar Kumar not available for this fixture, the Sunrisers should be a concerned because they know the difference he can bring to the team composition on a flat Mumbai deck. Shikhar Dhawan is still recovering from elbow injury & Yusuf Pathan from cramps he picked in the last game vs CSK, one can say the Sunrisers Hyderabad are forced to changes.
Head to head :
These two teams played 11 teams in the history of IPL, the Sunrisers won 6 games while Mumbai won 5 games. Last time these two teams played the Sunrisers escaped with a one wicket win of the last ball.
Favorites to win :
Taking recent form into consideration, it’s easy to write Mumbai off but with the kind of team they play, the venue being their home makes this contest even.
