Yuvraj Singh (KXIP):
Yuvraj Singh has played just 8 games in this eleventh edition of IPL scoring 65 runs with a best score of 20. His batting average (10.83) and Strike Rate (89.04) in this season are the worst for him in a single season. He never batted with a strike rate of less than 100 in any of the previous seasons.
Yuvraj Singh played at least 10 games in each of the remaining seasons. And looking at his form in IPL 2018, it wouldn’t be a surprise even if he doesn’t get picked up at all by any franchise in the next season.
Gautam Gambhir (DD):
From leading Delhi Daredevils to getting dropped from the team, IPL 2018 has been a season to forget for Gautam Gambhir. Stepped down from the captaincy role after playing their first 6 games as DD won just one of them. From their 7th match, Delhi have dropped Gambhir from the team making Shreyas Iyer their captain. Gambhir wasn’t picked to play later in the tournament.
In his 6 games this season, he has scored just 85 runs at an average of 17.00 with a half-century. Gambhir was not in great touch with the bat this season scoring 55 runs in a single game and just 30 runs in the remaining 5 games.
Yuzvendra Chahal (RCB):
Having played in 14 games, Chahal picked up just 12 wickets in this season. Also, his bowling average of 30.25 in this season is worst for any bowler with such caliber! His best bowling figures (2/22) in this season tells the sorry state of his form with the ball.
Manish Pandey (SRH):
If you played all the games and was dropped for the crucial games at the end of the season, then you know how bad a player you are. Same is the story of Manish Pandey in IPL 2018. He was dropped for the second qualifier and Final even though he scored 3 half-centuries in the Round Robin games.
Pandey has scored 284 runs in 15 games at an average of 25.81. His strike rate of 115.44 was not a convincing figure at all.
Jayadev Unadkat (RR):
Unadkat was the costliest buy among Indian players fetching a huge amount of INR 11.5 crores. In the 15 games he played for Rajasthan Royals, he has got 11 wickets in this season compared to 24 wickets in IPL 2017. His bowling average of 44.18 and his economy rate (9.65) are the worst!
