With Dew playing its role at the Kotla, it was a great toss to win by the RCB captain Virat Kohli and opting to bowl first. Chahal opened the bowling for RCB and got them off to a great start picking up both the Delhi openers in his first two overs.

Rishabh Pant later continued his superb form notching up a 34-ball 61 to follow his century against Sun Risers in his previous game. Pant fell with the scorecard reading 109 for 3 in 13 overs. However, it was their 17-yeal old debutant Abhishek Sharma who scored an unbeaten 19-ball 46 with 3 fours and 4 sixes helped DD get to 181 for 4 in 20 overs.

During the chase, RCB lost both their openers early with just 18 runs on the board. AB de Villiers and Captain Virat Kohli then shared a 118-run stand for the third wicket to help RCB get out of the trouble. Kohli fell with RCB’s scorecard reading 136 and it was AB who remained unbeaten till the end to see RCB chase down the target with an Over to spare.

RCB (8 points) are at the seventh position and will go to Indore to play KXIP on Monday (May 14) while Delhi Daredevils (6 points) who are at the eighth position will remain at the Feroz Shah Kotla to host CSK on Friday (May 18).
