Chennai Super Kings vs Delhi Daredevils Preview

IPL 2018, 30th Match, Chennai Super Kings vs Delhi Daredevils

Monday, 30th April, MCA Stadium, Pune

Match Preview :

The Chennai Super Kings host the Delhi Daredevils in an 8pm fixture here at the MCA Stadium Pune.

The hosts Chennai are coming into in this with a loss behind them. They were completely outplayed by then inconsistent Mumbai Indians. They were not able to make in roads into the Mumbai batting attack.

The Delhi Daredevils are coming into this game after an inspiring performance against the Kolkata Knight Riders. They demolished the Kolkata Knight Riders’ bowling attack the other day in Delhi.

Coming into the team composition, the Chennai Super Kings look a very strong side on paper. Ambati Rayudu, Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni are looking in astounding form. Shane Watson, who scored a century against Rajasthan Royals, didn’t fire much after that. Sam Billings too, had a lean patch after that match winning knock against the Kolkata Knight Riders. Their Middle Order need to fire more for them to lay a solid foundation whenever they’re batting. Deepak Chahar got injured and that might force a change in the playing 11.

The Delhi Daredevils, though appearing not as strong as Chennai, let their performances speak more than that. The two games they won were high scoring  games. Under the new captain, Shreyas Iyer, they showed an out and out performance in their last game. They would like to repeat the same in this game as well.

Head to head :

Chennai Super Kings 11 <-> 5 Delhi Daredevils is the score line between these two teams after a decade of IPL.
