Match Review :
The Chennai Super Kings pulled off another thrilling last over win against the hosts Sunrisers Hyderabad, in a day game here at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.
The Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and decided to bowl first. They got the price scalp of Shane Watson, the hero of last match just for 9 runs. Faf du Plessis(11) got out early, the Chennai Super Kings were 32-2 in 7.1 overs. In walked Ambati Rayudu, he along with Suresh Raina took the attack to the opposition. Raina(54*,43b,5x4s,2x6s) remained unbeaten but Rayudu has been the show stopper with knock of 79(37b) featuring (9x4s & 4x6s). A cameo from the captain MS Dhoni(25, 12b,3x4s,1x6s) helped Chennai reach a respectable total of 182-3.
The Sunrisers chase was dented by two quick wickets. Deepak Chahar removed Ricky Bhui(0), Manish Pandey(0) and removed Deepak Hooda(1) in his 1st,2nd & 3rd Over respectively pushing the Sunrisers into deep trouble. Shakib al Hasan(24,19b,2x4s,1×6) & Yusuf Pathan(45,27b,1×4,4x6s) contributed their part. Kane Williamson(84,51b,5x4s,5x6s) played a wonderful knock and ensured his team stayed in the hunt always. He got out when the team needed 33 in 2 overs. Yusuf Pathan got out in the very next over and everyone thought the game was over. Rashid Khan(17, 4b) played a blinder and caught everyone’s attention. He hit a 6 when they needed 12 from 2 and Bravo somehow managed to bowl a yorker the next ball and the Chennai Super Kings escaped by just 4 runs and claimed the top spot again.
