Auction of players for IPL 2018 is all set to take place today at Bangalore. With 578 players vying for the 182 slots available, no doubt that everyone in the world will be tuned to watch the proceedings.

Yesterday, we went through few of the shocking moments in IPL so far. We can expect similar things to happen today. Here is the list of 5 not much known overseas cricketers who may well go on fetch huge amounts at the auction.

1.) Colin Munro – New Zealand

Base Price – 50 Lakhs

The New Zealand opener had been picked up by KKR before in IPL 2016 but in the four matches that he played in, he scored only 30 runs off 30 balls. Past few months have been very different for Munro though.

Munro’s last 7 T20I innings read 109*, 7, 53, 66, 104, 49* & 1. His innings of 104 against Windies made him the first batsman to score three T20I centuries.  The left-handed opening batsman has been in an excellent run of forms and that is something that the IPL scouts must have noticed.

2.) D’Arcy Short – Australia

Base Price – 20 Lakhs

January 2018 has been almost a life-changing month for this Australian all-rounder. D’Arcy Short, the left-handed opener for Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash was known for his hitting capability already but this season, he took it a notch upward.

The 27-years old has played only 17 T20s so far but it was his three knocks in BBL that got everyone talking about him. Opening for Hobart, he has scored 97, 96 & 122* in this season. 122* is the highest individual score in the Big Bash league history.

In addition to his batting skills, he is a left-arm chinaman bowler – a rarity to have.

3.) Chadwick Walton – Windies

Base Price – 50 Lakhs

The West Indian may not be on Radar of many teams but he would make one very good explosive opener who can also keep wickets. Walton has a terrible international record – 13 runs in 2 Tests, 53 runs in 8 ODIs & 160 runs in 15 T20Is. It makes a terrible reading.

Why is he on the list then? Well, he had a fantastic CPL 2017 recently. Playing Guyana, he ended as the top run-getter of the tournament. His tally of 458 runs at an average of 42 & strike rate of 146 stands tall.

4.) Jofra Archer – England

Base price –

Base Price – 40 Lakhs

This young boy from Barbados has set the world on fire with his bowling performances. Archer was first spotted by Chris Jordan who alerted Sussex of this boy’s talent. The club got him on its rolls and the talent in Jofra has flourished.

Archer also made his BBL debut in this year’s season playing for Hobart Hurricanes. In this season so far, the right-arm fast bowler has impressed one and all with 15 wickets in 10 matches.

5.) Mujeeb Zadran – Afghanistan

Base Price – 50 Lakhs

Afghanistan cricket has been an unbelievable story in last few years. They have taken the scene by storm and have leapfrogged other associate nations in gaining the Test match status.

The secret lies in their bowling prowess. Rashid Khan has already established himself in world cricket. Mujeeb Zadran is another spinner trying the same.

The 16-year old off spinner, already expert at carom ball and googly picked up 4/24 on his debut ODI against Ireland. He shocked New Zealand under-19 team recently with bowling figures of 4/14.
