88 – Number of deliveries faced by Mohammad Shahzad to get to his fifth century in ODIs. This is the third fastest century (by deliveries faced) for an Afghanistan batsman in an ODI. Shahzad himself registered the fastest hundred for Afghanistan in this format – a 72-ball century against Scotland in 2010.
124 – Mohammad Shahzad scored 124 runs off 116 deliveries with 11 fours and 7 sixes. This is the second highest score by a wicket keeper in Asia Cup match after Mushfiqur Rahim’s 144 (against Sri Lanka). Also, this is Shahzad’s third highest score in ODIs after his 131* against Zimbabwe and 129 against UAE.
8 – Number of ODIs ties in the history of Indian ODI cricket, played 947 ODIs till date. Only Australia and West Indies, both 9 times, are the only teams to have involved in an ODI ‘tie’ more times than India. On the other hand, England and Pakistan too involved in 8 ties in this format.
5 – Number of ties for Mahendra Singh Dhoni as ODI captain – Twice against England (both in 2011), against Sri Lanka in 2012, against New Zealand in 2014 and against Afghanistan in 2018. As captain, Dhoni is involved in most number of ODI ties while Richie Richardson (WI), Steve Waugh and Shaun Pollock are in the second place in this list with 3 ties each as ODI captain.

He played 3 ODI games (2 against England and a game against Afghanistan) till date and is yet to pick up a wicket in this format. Overall, he bowled 27 overs and conceded 179 runs without picking up a wicket.
100 – Indian openers in this game, Lokesh Rahul and Ambati Rayudu, shared a 110-run stand for the first wicket. This is the 100th instance where Indian openers put together a century stand in an ODI for the first wicket. Previous such instance was 210-run partnership between Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma against Pakistan in the ongoing Asia Cup.
