Ravindra Jadeja made a grand comeback in ODIs

India won their first ‘Super Four’ game beating Bangladesh by a comprehensive margin of seven wickets. Their batting has once again been excellent and bowlers set up the game upfront after electing to bowl first. Jadeja bowled brilliantly picking up four wickets in his 10 overs – Shakib al Hasan, Mohammad Mithun, Mushfiqur Rahim and Mosaddek Hossain. This is Jadeja’s first ODI for India in almost over a year!

The double B’s, Bhuvi and Bumrah, picked up three wickets apiece. Mehidy Hasan, no. 9 batsman, top scored for Bangladesh with 42 runs and with three other scores of 20s in their line-up Bangladesh are bowled out for 173 in 49.1 overs. Both Indian wrist spinners, Chahal and Kuldeep, remained wicket less in this game.

During the chase, Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan has once again been brilliant adding 61 runs for the first wicket. This duo posted their second consecutive 50+ stand in ODIs – 86 vs Pakistan in the last game and 61 against Bangladesh in this game. Indian captain Rohit Sharma remained unbeaten on 83* to steer India to a seven wicket victory.

Dhoni came out to bat at no. 4 and he looked to be in great nick – 33 runs off 37 deliveries with 3 fours. Especially his running was impressive, fast and quick as always! “Dhoni we saw today is he Dhoni we want to see very often”, said Harsha Bhogle after India’s seven wicket victory in Dubai.
