Match Wrap:

Yet another easy victory for Indians against their arch-rivals Pakistan in ODIs. This time they defeated Pakistan by a big margin of 9 wickets in the ‘Super Four’ game in the ongoing Asia Cup 2018 on Sunday (Sep 23). Indian openers, Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma, almost polished off the target of 238 runs themselves!

Pakistan got into all sorts of trouble after having elected to bat first. They lost their opener Imam ul Haq to an excellent review from MS Dhoni while their other opener Fakhar Zaman was out LBW to Kuldeep in an awkward fashion in the 15th over! Sarfraz and Malik added 107 runs for the fourth wicket, the period only during which Pakistan looked comfortable. With some meaty blows from Asif Ali, Pakistan finished with 237 for 7 in 50 overs.

Chasing 238 to win, Rohit and Dhawan scored centuries each and put on a 210-run stand for the opening wicket. India chased down the target in 39.3 overs and with 9 wickets in hand. With this victory, India have booked their place in the Asia Cup 2018 final while Pakistan have to beat Bangladesh in their next game to see their fate.
