Limited overs cricket and India’s Spin Duo

Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin, ICC world ranking of 2 and 4 in bowling (test cricket), are yet not again been considered by the Indian selection committee for series against New Zealand for the limited overs cricket.

The wrist spin duo of Yajuvendra Chahal and Kuldeep  Yadav in limited overs cricket for India  are doing extremely well and this is what restricting the entry of India’s specialist test spin duo  in the Indians limited overs cricket side . No doubt, India are aiming 2019 world cup and giving more opportunities to young talented players.

Both R.Ashwin and R.Jadeja are currently playing in Ranji trophy for Tamil Nadu and Saurashtra side, respectively and are trying their best to comeback to Indian limited overs cricket side.

Advantage of having 2 wrist spinner in ODI and T20 side  is ,they are genuine wicket takers and  can turn the game in middle overs in a real quick time , but they can be little expensive too. Both Chahal and Kuldeep are performing really well in ODI and T20 cricket for India.

R.Jadeja has a realistic chance to come back in limited overs side because of his all-round abilities and athleticism in field. He is still one of the best fielder in Indian’s side. While, that for Ashwin is little tuff to make.

Virat Kohli , an aggressive captain, like to dominate the field  and he want his bowlers to take wicket in middle overs , which he considered a very crucial time in match  And that’s why he is backing wrist spinners in the side .

While India is targeting to select a balanced side for 2019 world cup , it is yet to be seen that how Ashwin and Jadeja performs in domestic cricket to get a chance in limited overs cricket for India .
