Bangladesh vs Afghanistan 'Super Four' game preview

Asia Cup 2018, Fourth Match, Fourth Match, Bangladesh vs Afghanistan

Sunday, September 23, 2018, Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi

Match Preview:

Battle to stay alive in the tournament! The loser of this game will be knocked out of the ongoing Asia Cup 2018 season while the winner will have to win their next match as well to book a place in the final. Bangladesh batsmen were completely clueless against Afghan spinners in their last encounter while Afghanistan are a better batting unit than they last played Bangladesh.

In the three games played so far in this tournament, Bangladesh won their first game against Sri Lanka while lost their next two games to Afghanistan and India. On the other hand, Afghanistan won their first two games against Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Against Pakistan, they were so close to winning but they could not get over the line!

Bangladesh added two batsmen to their squad – Imrul Kayes and Soumya Sarkar – to strengthen their batting unit which looks weak at the moment. However, it is uncertain at this point if any of the two players gets a chance to play against Afghanistan in this game. On the other hand, high flying Afghanistan might not make any changes to their playing XI!
