Australia v England
1st ODI MCG, January 14

Australia head into the one-day series against England with Cameron White coming in for the injured Chris Lynn.

White has been one of the leading run-scorers in the BBL, was chosen ahead of Glenn Maxwell and D’Arcy Short. White hasn’t played ODI cricket for Australia since 2014. With a strong performance, White could potentially bolt into the World Cup squad in 2019.

White is considered to be one of the cleanest strikers in world cricket, is certain to start leaving Marcus Stonis, Mitch Marsh and Travis Head to fight it out for the remaining two spots.

England have some minor injury concerns with Jason Roy injuring his hand in a warm-up match.

With the South African tour on the horizon, Australia will take the opportunity to rotate their fast bowlers. Josh Hazelwood will be rested on Sunday with Andrew Tye and Jaye Richardson looking at a start.
